Hello one and all! Welcome to the introductory blog for the Randomizer!
As some of you will know, I have thought about doing a blog for some time, but was unsure of what to write about. Then it hit me like a brick. Yeaa, I had to go to hospital to get my nose fixed up, but I digress.
Why not do one specialising in a different subject every fortnight? (or luna circle whichever comes first). So for the next few months, I will be writing about a different series of subjects every 2 weeks and include some sort of strange floating humour around as well.
Why am I doing this blog? For me, writing is becoming an increasing profession and it has allowed me to try and give me a voice in giving my own opinions of subject matters. Doing this type of blog would allow me to answer some questions I have a vested (and random) interest in and show at least a good modicum of research to back up my opinions, as well as destroy them too. This will be a Challenge Accepted moment (ha ha) and hopefully give some expansion of knowledge to you all as well as myself. An example of this could be my uni dissertation, looking into the localisation of anime. I had a basic understanding of the process before I threw myself into the subject. But as I went along I made all sorts of different connections, such as the imagery of food being changed to relate more to a cultural audience and how anti-war contexts in GOJIRA were eased out in favour of making the iconic horror monster GODZILLA. So hopefully as I progress with this blog of random subjects, you will benefit from the research as much as I have.
However, do bear in mind that I have other commitments, such as writing my first novel and part-time working. Hence a fortnight is plenty of time to try and research subjects and presenting them. If I was Superman, then I would try and make this quicker as possible. Unfortunately I'm not Superman. Then again, I wouldn't want to be Superman. Too much of a goody two shoes. Batman is more my cup of tea :)
I suppose I will stop here and try to continue on with writing on my first piece to come in the middle of January: My personal Top Ten Films I've seen in 2012.
See you then!
